Getting funding for a language course is easier than you might think.
The Development Services Database (BUR) – what is it and how does it work?
BUR is a nationwide Polish training platform listing certified courses that can be taken with funding – including our language courses. Registering in BUR gives you access to a wide range of training supported by EU funds.
Custom-Made is a registered training provider in BUR, which means our courses meet high quality standards under ISO certification and are ready to be delivered with funding.
Who is the funding for?
Funding programmes for language courses are aimed at adults who, on their own initiative, want to:
- improve their qualifications or skills,
- retrain,
- formally confirm skills gained through non-formal education or informal learning,
- adapt to the changing job market.
They are also open to people in a difficult or disadvantaged situation, from groups experiencing or at risk of poverty, social exclusion or multiple forms of discrimination, and/or people aged 50+.
IMPORTANT: sole traders cannot take part in the programmes for individuals.
How much funding can you get?
Funding can cover from 80% up to 100% of the course price, depending on the region (voivodeship) and the support programme you use. The amount also depends on the operator and the specific conditions of the project.
How do you get funding for a Custom-Made language course?

- Check your funding options – Our team will review the BUR support available to you as an individual and help you find an operator offering funding in your region or municipality, so that we can propose the best possible terms.
- Register in BUR – If you are not registered yet, we will help you set up a BUR account. This gives you access to the documents and information you need to apply for funding.
- Submit your application – We will guide you through the application step by step and advise you on how to fill in the documents correctly and which attachments are required.
- Start the course – Once the funding institution approves your application, you can start your course at Custom-Made. We will also handle the settlement process together, so you can focus on learning.
- Receive your certificate – When the course ends, you will receive a certificate confirming your new skills, which you can add to your CV or use at work.
